Application for Admission

After submitting an inquiry, and touring the School, our admissions director will send you the link to our New Student Application. You’ll need to complete the New Student Application and submit a non-refundable application fee of $125 with the following:

  • Student health inventory and immunization records
  • Copy of a birth certificate
  • Release for past scholastic records when applicable for students in Pre-K 4 through 5th grade

The school observes the state-adopted cutoff date of five years of age on or before September 1st of the school year for entrance to Kindergarten. EPK programs adhere to this as well.

Academic Readiness Assessment/Family Interview

Each applicant entering PreK 4 through 5th grade requires an evaluation by the Admission Committee to determine proper grade placement. This committee will take into account the student's level of achievement; his/her chronological age; and other social, physiological and developmental considerations.

Upon receipt of an application, we will reach out to schedule a 15-minute assessment after school.

We understand St. John's is a financial commitment, as well as an important decision to make for your child. We want to insure we are the best fit for your family. Every applicant will participate in a Family interview with our admissions committee. This is to learn more about your family and to answer any additional questions you may have.

St. John's Episcopal School’s programs are designed to teach the academically able student. Our staff and our facilities provide the opportunity to administer to individual needs; however, we are unable to adequately meet the needs of children who are physically, emotionally, or intellectually challenged.

Admission Decision

After the family interview and assessment, an admissions decision will be made. Decisions will be sent out within a week of the Family Interview.

Upon acceptance, an enrollment contract and deposit must be completed to ensure your child’s place in the class and returned within two weeks of receipt.

Acceptance of admission to St. John's Episcopal School will be probationary for a period of no less than four weeks and no more than 18 weeks to determine whether a child's needs can be met by the academic program at St. John's.

St. John's Episcopal School shall admit students of any sex, race, color, religion or national or ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at St. John's Episcopal School.

Enrollment Registration

New students who have submitted an application and have been accepted can enroll in the upcoming school year beginning on March 20, 2023. Starting at 7 AM on the morning enrollment opens, enrollment instructions will be emailed to applicants in the order applications were received.
