Mrs. Katie Rose Gloyna, Head of School

Katherine (Katie) Rose Gloyna serves as the Head of School at St. John’s Episcopal School in Abilene, Texas. With over two decades of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge of classroom instruction, curriculum development, and school leadership. Her career includes roles within the Abilene Independent School District, as well as teaching and administrative positions in San Antonio and at St. John’s. After serving as Interim Head of School, Gloyna was officially appointed to the position in February 2025.  She is committed to academic excellence, teacher development, and community engagement. Gloyna holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University. 

 
 
Mr. Casey Stone, Assistant Head of School

Mr. Stone is a dedicated educator with 29 years of experience in public education. His career began as a high school coach in football and baseball, serving for 8 years, alongside 8 years as a baseball and softball umpire. He spent 14 years as a high school math teacher, teaching courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Pre-AP Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB.

For the past 15 years, he has served in administration, holding roles as assistant principal or principal at every grade level, with the majority of his time spent at the high school level. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Math from Tarleton State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

He lives and leads by the wisdom of James 1:19 (NIV):

Mrs. Angie Jordan, Chief Financial Officer

Angie Jordan brings 28 years of experience in school finance and a deep dedication to serving students, staff, and the community. She holds an accounting degree and has built her career around strong fiscal stewardship in education. In addition to her role as CFO, Angie is an elected member of the Lueders-Avoca ISD School Board, where she continues to advocate for quality education. Angie lives on a farm, where she enjoys beekeeping and the peaceful rhythm of rural life. She is passionate about kids, Jesus, and education, and approaches her work with both heart and integrity.

 
 
 
Mr. Bobby Atchley, Director of Curriculum & instruction

With over 30 years of experience in public education, Bobby Atchley brings a deep commitment to academic excellence and student success. He spent 16 years at Weatherford ISD and 14 years at Brock ISD, teaching math for 22 years before moving into administration for the past 8 years. Bobby holds a Bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Education from Texas State University. Throughout his career, Bobby has remained passionate about building strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support meaningful learning and school growth.
