In an effort to teach its students the importance of service to the community
beyond the School, St. John's Episcopal School (SJES) has implemented
a program entitled Making A St. John's Difference.
This program is used as a vehicle for students to understand both the
wide-ranging needs of the community they live in and the rewards of actively
addressing these needs.
The Community Service Committee directs this program, which operates
throughout the school year. It is implemented and supervised by individual
classroom teachers with the assistance of parent volunteers. Monthly focuses
and special activities are also used to implement this program.
