The Robert Oldham Smart Library
The Robert Oldham Smart Library contains approximately 15,000 volumes
covering all non-fiction categories, fiction selections, an extensive
Accelerated Reader collection, and many reference materials. It serves
to develop an appreciation of literature, foster a love of reading, and
create independent readers. Rob Smart was an inquisitive learner while
at St. John's, and the library named in his memory provides the materials
for all current and future inquisitive St. John's learners to aspire to.
Hallie's Corner
Hallie's Corner is a child-sized, secluded area of the Robert Oldham
Smart Library which has been specially designed to provide students a
quiet, comfortable, private place in which to discover - and re-discover
- a love for escaping into a good book. This reading corner was given
in loving memory of Hallie Elizabeth Taylor. Hallie's Corner is intended
to encourage the same love for reading, which Hallie especially enjoyed
during her days at St. John's.
